Bookings
How can I make a reservation?
Reservations are made online through our official website. Choose your desired tour, select an available date and time, indicate the number of participants, and complete payment.
Can I book by phone or email?
To ensure speed and up-to-date availability, all reservations must be made online. To request information for special situations (events, rentals, on-demand programs, etc.), please fill out our form or send an email to info@mondeco.pt. However, if you prefer, you can always use the telephone number: +351 928 325 880.
How do I know my booking is confirmed?
After payment is made, you will receive a confirmation email with the booking details and boarding instructions. Please check your inbox (and spam).
How can I travel more cheaply?
You can use our CARDS, but we also offer:
- GROUPS: bookings for more than 6 people benefit from a lower price
- FAMILIES: families (2 adults + 2 children) can use a discount code (FAM)
- CAMPAIGNS: follow us on social media – we regularly release special discount codes
Are there discount cards?
Yes, we offer several cards for frequent travelers:
- “100 Limites”: travel for a whole year at much lower prices
- “5 Estrelas”: get 1 free tour after 4 paid ones
- “COMBO”: try all our tours and get the “3 Bridges” tour for free
Payments and Vouchers
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit card, debit card, and MB Way payments. Payment is processed at the time of booking.
How do discount vouchers work?
You can enter a discount code during the booking process. Each code is subject to specific conditions (e.g. number of children or students). Only one code can be used per booking.
Can I use more than one voucher?
No. Only one voucher per booking can be applied due to technical constraints.
Changes and Cancellations
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. You can change or cancel your booking up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time free of charge. After this period, no refunds will be issued.
How do I cancel?
Please email your booking number and cancellation or change request to info@mondeco.pt.
What happens if the tour is canceled by Mondeco?
If tours are canceled due to weather or operational reasons, you will be contacted to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Boarding and Schedules
Where is the boarding point?
All tours depart from Cais UC – Exploratório, next to the Pedro e Inês footbridge.
What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the scheduled departure. Boarding closes at the exact starting time of the tour.
What if I arrive late?
If you arrive after the boat has departed, your reservation will be considered lost.
If possible and without guarantee, you may be allowed to join a later tour, subject to availability.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes. We recommend Parque do Choupalinho (left bank), or for the “Estrelas” tour, Parque das Docas (right bank). Both are near the Pedro e Inês Bridge.
On-Board Conditions
Can children board?
Yes. Children are welcome, and there are special family discount vouchers. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Does the boat have a restroom?
No. We recommend using public restrooms before boarding.
Is there accessibility for people with reduced mobility?
Access is possible with crew assistance, but we recommend contacting us in advance to ensure proper support.
Can I bring pets?
For safety reasons, pets are not allowed on board, except for guide dogs.
Weather Conditions
Do tours run in bad weather?
Tours take place whenever safety conditions allow. In case of heavy rain or strong winds, the tour may be cancelled. Please check our website for updates.
If we cancel, you will always be contacted to reschedule or receive a full refund.
The Boat
What type of boat is used?
We use the EVO 7.0 Lounge by Sunconcept – a comfortable, silent, and eco-friendly solar-powered boat. It’s about 7 meters long, ideal for cultural and sightseeing tours on the Mondego River.
Is it safe?
Yes. The boat is certified, operated by licensed crew, and equipped with life jackets.
Are there seats for everyone?
Yes. All passengers have seats with an unobstructed view outside.
Experiences and Events
Are tours guided?
Yes. The crew provides interesting facts, historical background, and relevant information throughout the tour.
Can I book the boat for a private event?
